The Department of Language and Linguistics has moved to “Niagara”, the new building of the Faculty of Culture and Society. Malmö Central Station is just around the corner. Visiting address is Nordenskiöldsgatan 1. You will find us at the 11th floor.

BA thesis awards in English Studies

The Swedish Society for the Study of English (SWESSE) – the umbrella organization for English Studies in Sweden – has just announced the winners of its recently created ‘BA thesis of the Year’ awards. Both of them (linguistics and literature, 2014) go to Malmö.

1st International CUA Conference on Endangered Languages

img389Professor Karina Vamling participates in the 1st International Caucasus University Association (CUA) Conference on Endangered Languages, organized in Ardahan, Turkey, by Caucasus University Association, Ardahan University. Dates: October 13-16, 2014.

The title of her paper is “Internet as a tool for language development and maintenance?”, where she discusses Megrelian as a case in point.
