GPS guest professor compares Danish and Swedish integration politics

On Thursday October 11 at 17.00, GPS guest professor Per Mouritsen will hold a talk at Malmö University’s after work-lecture series titled Two of a kind? – integration politics in Denmark and Sweden. Per Mouritsen is a visiting researcher from Aarhus University in Denmark.

As a researcher, Per Mouritsen, who recently published this op-ed in Aftonbladet, focuses on national differences in regards to integration politics. In this talk, he will explore the differences between Sweden and Denmark and the dynamics between citizenship and immigrant rights on the one hand and duties and obligations on the other hand. Per’s presentation will be followed by a conversation with IMER doctoral student Johan Ekstedt and an opportunity for audience questions.

The lecture is a part of the series Inside the mind of a professor – meet and mingle with Malmö University researchers. It is free of charge and everyone is welcome. There will be beer, wine, coffee, the and snacks for sale.
