Irene Molina: Talking back: Confronting racism in academia

Colleges and universities are not free from racism. On the contrary, universities and other research institutions have historically created and legitimated racist imaginations and practices. Irene Molina, professor in cultural geography at Uppsala university, research leader at CEMFOR and board member in Antirasistiska akademin will lead us in a discussion on the following questions: What does racism within colleges and universities look like today? Is it possible to teach and do research in an anti-racist way? What can we do to confront racism within higher education and research? In the meeting on October 5 we will discuss our needs and interests in doing anti-racist work in Malmö and Lund. Read more in the University calendar
