As social constructs they are under constant negotiation, being<br \/>\ncreated and recreated, transgressed against, reproduced and challenged. Nowhere is this clearer than in migration and ethnic relations where they exert an enormous influence over groups and individuals, adults as<br \/>\nwell as children.
