This time, we have H\u00e5kan Jonsson visiting us. H\u00e5kan is a researcher at Sony Mobile and a PhD student at Lund University. Please find abstract and bio below.<\/p>\n<p>Most welcome.<br \/>\n\/Helena<\/p>\n<p>Title: Proximates &#8211; an investigation into pervasive social context<\/p>\n<p>Abstract:<br \/>\nUnderstanding the user&#8217;s context is important in creating application that can adapt to different user situations. Context has many aspects, including social context: What people is the user exchanging social interactions with in physical space, and what is his\/her relations to them? In the Proximates project we use the mobile phone as a bridge between physical and digital identities in order to study users&#8217; social context and its potential application space.<\/p>\n<p>Bio:<br \/>\nH\u00e5kan Jonsson is a researcher at Sony Mobile, Advanced Application Lab, and a PhD student at Lund University, Computer Science. His research interests are ubiquitous computing, networks science and context awareness.
