A couple of companies will organise an eight week hackademy for refugees. The target group is refugees who have an education in computer science and/or relevant work experience. The goal is that they will be able to get a job after the hackademy by the companies involved. It will be backed up by Arbetsförmedlingen (but not financially for the companies/univ. involved).
The idea is that two groups will work with a project during 8 concecutive weeks and it will run in one week sprints. The result of the project will be open source. The first sprint starts probably April 11th and the location will be our neighbour Minc, so it’s very close to us. They will mostly use on line material for finding out things that they need to do for the project, but sometimes they might need help. They will then identify what they need help with and the companies and universities (Malmö and Lund) involved will come and help out for max. a few hours or some kind of remote help.
Are you interested in helping out, please contact Catarina Coquand, catarina.coquand@mah.se. There are no obligations. More info will come on this webpage https://www.talentwithoutborders.io
