This week we continue to work with the consequences of conducting education, research and other activities by distance. Note that right after the vlogg was produced, the Vice-Chancellor made a decision that the university will stay closed until the end of the 2020 spring term. Senior lecturer Romina Spalazzese at DVMT has received an Avans-grant from KKS (the Knowledge Foundation) of 3,3 million SEK. Avans aims to develop education programs at master level with relevance for the industry. It can be one or two year master educations or educations leading to a professional qualification such as civil engineering. Congrats Romina and her team!
In this week’s, decision meeting four applications to VR were discussed and signed in order to be submitted for review. Also, Håkan Wernersson, teaching at the engineering degree programs at MTM, was been promoted to senior lecturer in product development and innovation. Congrats Håkan and MTM!
In autumn, the Vice-Chancellor will initiate a research leader development programme with 16 research leaders from across the university. After a careful review, the TS FFN as well as the TS management group, ranked the six applications from TS researchers and the Vice-Chancellor has selected Maria Engberg and Henrik Hartman to join the programme. Congrats Maria and Henrik!
The TS graduation ceremony (avslutningshögtid), originally planned for May, will be postponed until after summer. Watch out for a calendar invitation for the new date.
We welcome and briefly introduce Jeanette Dareblom as the new head of TS administration. She will come to APTs at the departments and units to introduce herself further and to get to know you better.
