Her PhD thesis at the University of\u00a0Cambridge explored the representation of\u00a0African characters in British\u00a0satirical \u00a0and comic prints during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Temi Odumosu: The Stereotypes Remain the Same\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5XKPlldNSek?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><i style=\"color: #000000\">Her\u00a0research and curatorial work\u00a0investigates how images frame\u00a0and participate in identity politics and more broadly\u00a0explores the relationship between history, cultural\u00a0heritage and\u00a0collective memory.\u00a0Recently\u00a0she has been working collaboratively with geneticists and other scientists on the effects\u00a0of the transatlantic slave trade on African health,\u00a0disease patterns and wider\u00a0population ancestry.
