Among\nthe girls and machines of the textile dust: On poetry, textile work and\narchive.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n It will\ntake place on Wednesday, February 19 at 10.15-12.00 in the K3 Open Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Marie\nH\u00e5llander is an author and researcher within philosophy of education. Her debut\nnovel Tj\u00e4nster i hemmet<\/em> (2013) is a poetic novel about working in\nelderly care service. Det om\u00f6jliga vittnandet<\/em> (2017) is a re-written\nversion of her PhD thesis, published by Eskaton and can be read online\nfor free: http:\/\/eskaton.se\/?attachment_id=395<\/a>. The book will be published in\nEnglish by Palgrave Macmillan (2020). H\u00e5llander is also project leader for the\nliterary scene Sjuh\u00e4rad text, that arranges literary readings around Sjuh\u00e4rad\nand is working as a senior lecturer in Education at S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here is an\nabstract for the talk:<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the\npresentation “Among the girls and machines of the textile dust: poetry,\ntextile work and archive\u201d, I will present an artistic, literary, poetic project\nwhich deals with textile workers’ history and specifically textile stories from\nSjuh\u00e4rad, the area surrounding Bor\u00e5s. It is a project where I want to\nunderstand and write about the conditions for textile workers in this specific\narea, which is known for its strong connections to the textile industry.
