Slow Sunday

Yesterday I participated in a pool party. Classical BBQ and then relaxing in a nice pool with some “cheap” Australian beer. Later yesterday evening I met an aboriginal girl when I was waiting for the bus and she talked about some person that had been hitting her before that day. After a while the police came and she had evidently been sniffing glue and it seemed like the police did not really take her seriously. I guess incidents like this shows that Australia still has a long way to go when it comes to the indigenous people living here. The whole situation was very sad and it felt like she had been involved with the police many times before. Today I have just been trying to study and figuring out what to do tomorrow (I do not have any classes on Mondays and Fridays!) and it will probably involve some pool activity as well. Another week has passed and I can’t help thinking about how quick the time goes here.
