The “Refugee Crisis” in Europe put our humanitarianism and our capacity for empathy to the test. War, and the consequences of the war, are the ultimate threat to human life. Health as a human right is being eliminated and the prospects for decent life disappears. Nurses ‘ professional responsibility is to promote and contribute to human life and health, and to have the courage to stand up for the right to health. We must therefore, in the way we can, make the situation better for those who are fleeing. All people need a safe place, shelter, food, school for their children and a place in society. We know that these are the basics to a good health.
Welcome to an open seminar that will address the professional responsibility of nurses when meeting people fleeing war.
